Facility provided to save query output of challan detail screen of OLTAS-31(PAN based collection) in Excel sheet.

As you are aware that  vide OLTAS Instruction-31, query screens were provided in OLTAS module to obtain the PAN/TAN based challan collection in summary as well as detail format.

2. It is observed that there is no facility  either to take the report print out or to save the output of the query in a file. There are also similar demands from the field formations to enable such facility.

3. In order to resolve the above issue it has been decided and implemented by the Directorate to provide a button in the challan detail screen to enable users  save the output of the query, which is shown on the screen after the query, as an excel file. The data stored in the excel sheet can be used for the various types of MIS required by higher authority like TOP taxpayers, Major head wise , minor head wise  break up etc. It can also be used to provide challan data to DGIT(INV) , if needed.

4. The steps required to reach and save the challan detail data  in an excel file are as follows  :

Step 1 : Login in ITD application

Step 2:  Click TAS=>challan/refund details

Step 3:  Click the drop down menu OLTAS 31(PAN based collection ).

Step 4:  Click the challan detail button appearing on the screen.

Step 5 : Run the query using the desired query criteria.

Step 6 : Once the data is fetched on the screen  all the records appearing on it   can be saved in an excel file by pressing the button  Save data to Excel.
